On Wednesday, Aug. 23, a resident reported that she had gotten into her Land Rover and found that the glove box was open and the contents were on the front passenger's seat. Nothing was taken. Clothing Reported Stolen From Suitcase Left In Unlocked Car In Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- Someone stole clothing from a suitcase that had been left in an unlocked car in Darien last week. A resident of Noroton Avenue told police that on the morning of Monday, Aug. 21 he found items of clothing were missing from a suitcase he had packed for a trip, police said. He was out of town and was not able to make a report to police until Saturday, Aug. 26. The suitcase had been left in a 2004 BMW overnight, and the car had been left unlocked. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

DOT To Acquire Maritime Aquarium Imax Theater For Walk Bridge Replacement NORWALK, Conn. — The state Department of Transportation will acquire the Maritime Aquarium's IMAX Theater to accommodate construction of a replacement for the Walk Bridge, but the DOT will not acquire the whole aquarium, according to the Hour. The DOT told the Hour that the IMAX Theater will be acquired to make room for the construction project, which is expected to begin in 2019. Westport Police Seek Woman Who Charged $12K To Stolen Credit Cards WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport Police are seeking information on a woman who stole credit cards out of a parked car earlier this month and charged $12,000 to them. Police said that on Aug. 9, a car was entered by an unknown person while it was parked on Long Lots Road. Various credit cards were stolen from a purse inside the car, and later used to make more than $12,000 in fraudulent transactions in Trumbull, New Haven and Orange. Stamford Man Charged With Supplying Heroin In Fatal Overdose STAMFORD, Conn. — A 65-year-old man was charged with manslaughter after police said he sold heroin to somebody who fatally overdosed on it, according to the Stamford Advocate. James Pipicelli, 65, was taken into custody on Monday while appearing in court on drug charges, and was additionally charged with second-degree manslaughter and possession of narcotics, the Stamford Advocate reported.
