Police are looking for an older model, white or silver Jeep Grand Cherokee, possibly from 1999 to 2004. The vehicle evaded an officer during a motor vehicle stop at around 9:48 p.m. on Wednesday, police said. The Jeep was traveling eastbound on Route 34 in Newtown in the area of Sherman Street. In the first half of 2017 there have been 539 accidental overdose deaths in Connecticut, according to a report by Chief Medical Examiner Dr. James Gill.
