Two Robbed At Gunpoint Near Fairfield County School Police are searching for an armed man who robbed two employees of a school in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3 on Main Street in Southport in the area of the Southport School, said Lt. Edward J. Weihe, of the Town of Fairfield Police. One of the victims, an employee of the Southport School, told police that she and a co-worker were walking to the school after parking their vehicles. Man Hospitalized After Being Hit In Head By Bat On Halloween In Hudson Valley An area man was seriously injured after being hit in the head with a bat on Halloween. The incident took place around 8:45 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31 on Fountain Place, in Poughkeepsie, said the City of Poughkeepsie Poice. When police arrived on the scene of the attack, they found a man who had been struck in the head with a baseball bat, police said. The blaze broke out around 3:08 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the Hartford County complex located at 71 Russell Avenue in Plainville.
