Two Robbed At Gunpoint Near Fairfield County School Police are searching for an armed man who robbed two employees of a school in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3 on Main Street in Southport in the area of the Southport School, said Lt. Edward J. Weihe, of the Town of Fairfield Police. One of the victims, an employee of the Southport School, told police that she and a co-worker were walking to the school after parking their vehicles. Man Hospitalized After Being Hit In Head By Bat On Halloween In Hudson Valley An area man was seriously injured after being hit in the head with a bat on Halloween. The incident took place around 8:45 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31 on Fountain Place, in Poughkeepsie, said the City of Poughkeepsie Poice. When police arrived on the scene of the attack, they found a man who had been struck in the head with a baseball bat, police said. Officers immediately rendered aid and secured the scene for Mobile Life. The victim was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital and was admitted for treatment. Two Children, Grandmother Shot At Fairfield County Apartment Complex, Police Say Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who shot into a Fairfield County apartment complex injuring two small children and their grandmother. The shooting took place around 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30 at the PT Barnum Housing Complex in Bridgeport. CT Condo Fire Kills One One person was killed during a fire at a condo complex in Connecticut. The blaze broke out around 3:08 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the Hartford County complex located at 71 Russell Avenue in Plainville. Plainville Fire Marshal Ron Divert said a large fire was coming from one condo in the 10-unit complex and reached into units located to either side. Police Searching For Duo Who Stole $2K In Goods From Long Island Shop Police are searching for two alleged burglars who broke into a Long Island smoke shop and got away with more than $2,500 in goods. ID Released For Person Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Busy Long Island Roadway Police on Long Island have released the identity of a man killed while crossing a busy highway. Ralph Alexandre, age 36, was killed around 4:50 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 2, on northbound Route 110 in East Farmingdale in Suffolk County. Child Celebrating Halloween Hit By Car Near Diner In Hudson Valley An area child who was out celebrating Halloween was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver. The incident took place around 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, when the 4-year-old child was crossing a busy roadway near the Plaza Diner in the Town of Greenport with his mother. Mother, Daughter Fatally Stabbed In Westchester A large-scale investigation is underway after a mother and daughter were found stabbed to death in their Westchester home. Yonkers police discovered the two women around 4:30 p.m, on Monday, Nov. 1, after receiving a request for a welfare check from a friend who had not heard from the daughter since Friday, Oct. 29. CT Man Sentenced For Fentanyl Distribution A Connecticut man has been sentenced to 47 months in prison for distributing fentanyl, federal officials said. Kyle Pitts, aka "Bark," age 37, of West Hartford, was sentenced on Monday, Nov. 1, to prison time followed by three years of supervised release, said Leonard C Boyle, acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Fairfield County Man Accused Of Serving Alcohol To Minors At House Party, Police Say A Fairfield County man was cited for allegedly serving alcohol to minors at a Halloween house party.
