27-Year-Old Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash On I-84, CT State Police Say Connecticut State Police are asking for witnesses to a two-vehicle crash that killed a young man. Hartford County resident Blake Burrows, age 27, of Manchester, was killed around 7:59 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, on I-84 westbound in East Hartford. According to state police, Burrows, who was driving a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, was following a tractor-trailer on the highway, when for some reason he struck the back of the truck.  The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, Burrows died at the scene, state police said. 16-Year-Old Killed After Crashing Pickup Into Tree, CT State Police Say A Connecticut teenager is dead after driving his 2004 Ford F250 Super Duty pickup off the roadway and hitting a tree. Middlesex County resident Connor Young, age 16, of East Haddam, was killed around 7:50 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, on Mott Road, said the Connecticut State Police. Young was headed west near the East Haddam Turnpike when for an unknown reason the pickup veered left crossing the eastbound travel lane, state police said. Vehicle Crashes Into Market In Western Mass A Western Massachusetts woman who suffered a medical episode hit the front of a popular market and sandwich shop, authorities said. The incident took place on Wednesday, Nov. 3 on Main Street in Springfield at AC’s Main Street Market in Hampden County. According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, the woman was driving slowly due to a medical issue when she hit the building causing little damage. No injuries were reported and the woman was taken to a hospital for treatment. The market, located at 489 Main St., remains open.

Travis Johnson, age 19, of Hartford, was taken into custody on Wednesday, Nov. 3, by members of the US Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force and Hartford detectives. Numerous Shots Fired At Apartment Complex In Fairfield County Police are investigating a shooting in which nearly a dozen shots were fired at a Fairfield County apartment complex. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Ludlow Townhouse Co-op complex on Ludlow St., in Stamford. According to Lt. Tom Scanlon, of the Stamford Police, several homes in the complex were struck by bullets during the shooting. No one was injured, Scanlon said. Man Driving Without Headlights On Facing Drug, Weapons Charges, Massachusetts State Police Say A Massachusetts man was arrested following a traffic stop for driving without headlights on alleged weapons and drug charges. David McDade, age 36, of Worcester, was arrested around 2:30 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, after a state police trooper noticed he was driving in a black Mazda CX-9 without headlights. Trooper Micheal Lyons pulled over McDade and after running a check found that his license had been suspended, state police said.
