Firefighter Injured During Hudson Valley House Fire A firefighter received burns and suffered from smoke inhalation while battling an area house fire. The fire took place in Rockland County around 9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 1, at 460 Storms Road in Valley Cottage. Person Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Busy Long Island Roadway This story has been updated. Part of a busy Long Island roadway was closed for several hours after a pedestrian was hit and killed. The crash took place around 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, on the northbound side of Route 110 northbound in East Farmingdale, said the Suffolk County Police. The robbery took place around 9:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, in Riverhead. The two victims flagged down a patrol officer on East Main Street to report being robbed by two men in Grangebel Park, according to the Riverhead Police Department. Suspect Nabbed For Robbery At Barnes & Noble In Fairfield County A Fairfield County has been arrested in connection with an alleged robbery at an area book store. Michael Larocco, age 37, of Stamford, was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 10, for the robbery that took place a day earlier.
