An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Driver In Yorktown Crash That Killed Four Was Steering With Knees The driver responsible for a crash on the Taconic Parkway in Yorktown in August 2015 that killed four people, including his daughter, was arraigned in court Friday after prosecutors said he was driving with his knees before the crash occurred.  Nerim Sinanovic, a 34-year-old resident of the Bronx, was charged with four counts of criminally negligent homicide (a Class E felony), one count of reckless driving, a misdemeanor and a charge of speeding. Suspect Sentenced In Ossining Homicide Of Man Who Owed Money WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Yonkers man will be spending at least the next 20 years in jail for murdering someone and then dumping the remains on the side of the road in Ossining. Joaquin Garcia, 28, was sentenced Thursday to 20 years to life after pleading guilty to murder in the first degree in the killing of Luis Blanco, a 62-year-old Yonkers resident, in August 2015.
