An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Man, 38, ID'd As Victim In Fatal Tappan Zee Bridge Crash A Nyack man was killed Wednesday morning after his motorcycle collided with a tractor trailer on the Tappan Zee Bridge. According to police, at 11:23 a.m. witnesses said 38-year-old Jose Capo was driving his 2007 Suzuki motorcycle on the southbound side of the bridge in an aggressive manner, weaving through traffic. He lost control of his motorcycle, crashed into the back of a pickup truck, was ejected and then was struck by a 2012 Volvo tractor trailer, according to police. Pound Ridge Resident, Senate Candidate Ali Boak Aims To Clean Up Albany Ali Boak, one of the Democratic challengers for the 40th Senate District, said people are tired of the culture of corruption in state goverment. Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With Tractor-Trailer On Tappan Zee Bridge This story has been updated. A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a tractor-trailer on the Westchester-bound Tappan Zee Bridge Wednesday morning, according to state police. The incident occurred at 11:22 a.m. on the southbound side of the bridge mid-span, according to state police. State police said the accident remains under investigation. North Salem Resident Attends GOP Convention For First Time NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- It was the week of a lifetime for North Salem resident Howard Hellwinkel. Atria Hosts Dog Show To Raise Money For SPCA BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- The Atria Briarcliff Manor is really getting into the dog days of summer.Atria hosted a "Dog Days of Summer Dog Show" to benefit their furry friends at the SPCA of Westchester in Briarcliff Manor. Friends, Family Pay Respects To Ossining's Bastian Pasten, 20 OSSINING, N.Y. -- Bastian Pasten was remembered at his funeral Tuesday as a kind and humble person whose smile could light up a room. Pasten, 20, died of injuries from a motorcycle crash on Route 117 in Mount Pleasant last week. Pasten attended Ossining and Sleepy Hollow High School and enjoyed playing football, wrestling and lacrosse.
