I started my professional life as a research psychologist (not the "do you love your mother" kind). I enjoyed research and teaching, but noticed that I spent most of my non-classroom time writing and editing, often to help other people.

When I left academia,  all the "you should be a writer" admonitions followed me to job interviews. I've been squeezing in part-time writing and editing jobs for about 9 years, so now I am happily doing it full time.

The Dutchess County Office for the Aging (OFA) knows how to hold a real senior prom.For 20 years, the OFA has invited local seniors to their own prom. Police Charge Man With Aggravated DWI After Route 6 Crash PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – Police charged Luis A. Osorio, 39, of Brewster, with a misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated, according to a police report. Putnam County 911 dispatched troopers to investigate a motor vehicle collision on Route 6 in Southeast on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Police said that Osorio was traveling westbound and struck two parked vehicles. The police determined that Osorio was intoxicated at the time of the collision, according to the report.
