Police told the Stamford Advocate that the manager of a Bedford Street restaurant had confronted the 31-year-old bartender at around 1:30 a.m. Friday about $400 that was missing from the register. Trumbull Police Seek Burglar Who Climbed Up Second Story Balcony TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Police are investigating a burglary in Trumbull where somebody gained entry to an apartment through a second story balcony Friday morning. Trumbull Police said that the burglary occurred in the Pinewood Lake area on Friday morning. A suspect captured on surveillance video entered a second floor balcony and gained entry to a residence, which was unoccupied at the time, polices aid. Bridgeport Firefighters Knock Down Blaze At Park Street Home BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport firefighters quickly knocked down a blaze at a home on Park Street on Thursday. At around 3:45 p.m., units were dispatched to a structure fire on Park Street and encountered a home with heavy flames and smoke coming out of it. Units immediately conducted searches and confirmed that all the people made it out safe. Afterwards, the fire was knocked down in about 20 minutes.

The Staples semifinalists are Nicole Arellano, Marshall Heiser, Leya Luo, and Jessica Xu. Westport Doctor Gets A Year In Federal Prison For Defrauding Johns Hopkins WESTPORT, Conn. — A 53-year-old doctor from Westport will spend a year and a day behind bars — and pay restitution of nearly $600,000 — for defrauding his former employer, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, for travel expense reimbursements, prosecutors said.  U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz in Baltimore sentenced Dr. Jean-Francois Geschwind on Wednesday.
