Connecticut Students Increase Participation And Performance On AP Exams FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Public schools students are taking more Advanced Placement exams and performing better on those exams, according to results published by the College Board. The number of students who took at least one AP exam in 2016-17 rose to 28,961, an increase of 4.9 percent over the 2015-16 school year. Those students took 53,106 exams, an increase of 5.1 percent over the previous year. Of the exams taken, 36,404 exams achieved a score of three, four or five, which is an increase of 3.6 percent over the 2015-16 school year. These improvement were seen among students from all r…
