Man Assaulted By Three Stamford Men Armed With Knives STAMFORD, Conn. -- Police arrested three Stamford men and charged them with assaulting another man and threatening him with a knife on Monday, according to the Stamford Advocate. Someone reported to police that he had seen the three suspects surrounding a 36-year-old man behind a bodega on Richmond Hill Avenue, and that they were beating him up and waving knives around, according to the Stamford Advocate. Darien YMCA Hosts Spin-a-thon For Cancer Program DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien YMCA is holding a spin-a-thon fundraising event for the community on Sunday, Oct. 15 to benefit their “revive” cancer rehabilitation program. Two Teens Charged After New Canaan Police Break Up Party NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Two 17-year-olds were charged with possession of alcohol after police broke up a teen party in New Canaan on Friday. Police were called to a home on Heritage Hill Road at around 10:30 p.m. on Friday on a report of an underage drinking party. Stamford Teen Charged With Carrying Loaded Semiautomatic Pistol STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 16-year-old Stamford boy was arrested last week after police found him with a loaded semiautomatic pistol that had the serial numbers filed off, according to the Stamford Advocate. Police: DUI Driver In Darien Crash Was Nearly 4 Times The Legal Limit DARIEN, Conn. -- A Darien man was charged with driving under the influence after crashing into another car and sending three people to the hospital last week, according to police.
