John Rowland is set to be released early from prison, where he is serving time after being found guilty in 2014 of conspiracy, campaign fraud and obstruction of justice, according to the Connecticut Post. Rowland, 60, a Republican, served as governor from 1995 to 2004, when he resigned in the wake of a corruption scandal. He served 10 months in prison and four months of house arrest after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit honest services fraud, tax fraud and mail fraud in that case.
