Republican Tesei Re-Elected As Greenwich First Selectman GREENWICH, Conn. — Republican Peter Tesei was re-elected as the First Selectman of Greenwich in Tuesday's election. Tesei defeated Democratic challenger Sandy Litvack by 1,070 votes to win a sixth term as the First Selectman on Tuesday. Westport Man Sentenced To Prison For Embezzling Almost $1 Million WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Westport man was sentenced to four years in prison for embezzling nearly $1 million from him employer. Claude Carnahan, 54, was sentenced Tuesday to 48 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, according to John H. Bridgeport Man Who Fought Troopers On I-95 Pleads Guilty To Gun Charge BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man pleaded guilty Monday to a firearms charge after he produced a handgun while fighting with state troopers on I-95 earlier this year. Robert Bowens, 34, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon, and faces a maximum term of 10 years in prison, according to John H. Kids Report Strange Man Tried To Lure Them Into His Car In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. — Two kids reported that a strange man tried to lure them into his car as they were walking on East Rocks Road in Norwalk on Monday, according to the Hour. The juveniles, whose ages and genders were not disclosed, told police that at around 3:10 p.m. they were walking when the man in a blue convertible drove up and offered them a ride, the Hour reported. They described him as a white male wearing a black hat and blue raincoat, according to the Hour. Break-In Reported At Home On Black Road Road In Easton EASTON, Conn. -- A home on Black Rock Road in Easton was broken into last week, according to police. Police were dispatched to the home at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1 on a report of a burglary. The homeowners reported that they had arrived home and found the kitchen door wide open and other doors of the home ajar, police said. At the time of the call, they believed that the perpetrators may still be in the house. Officers arrived and searched the house completely and found nobody inside. The case is under investigation, police said.
