Stamford North Little League Accepting Donations For Joe DeLeo Scholarship STAMFORD, Conn. -- Monetary donations are now being accepted for a scholarship fund to benefit graduates of Stamford North Little League and its predecessors, the Springdale and North Stamford Little Leagues. The Joe "Junie" DeLeo Scholarship honors the longtime resident and local baseball legend who recently celebrated his 50th year helping kids play youth baseball in Stamford. Worker Seriously Injured In Fall From Scaffolding Inside Pool In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A worker suffered a serious injury after falling from a scaffolding at the Roton Point Club in the Rowayton section of Norwalk on Wednesday afternoon. The Norwalk Fire Department was called to the scene of the club at around 2 p.m. The worker had fallen approximately 12 feet from the scaffolding while working in a 15-foot deep pool, which was being repaired, fire officials said. Norwalk Police: Man Accused Of Trying To Lure Kids Was Just A Neighbor NORWALK, Conn. — After two juveniles reported last week that a man had tried to lure them into his car on East Rocks Road in Norwalk, police investigated and determined that the man was a neighbor and that the matter was a misunderstanding. Two juveniles had reported that on Monday afternoon, they were walking on East Rocks Road when a man in a blue convertible approached them and offered them a ride.
