Guitar served as first selectman from 1977 to 1989, after serving on the Board of Selectman from 1969 to 1975, the Redding Pilot reported. Easton Man Charged With Threatening Sibling EASTON, Conn. -- An Easton man was charged with threatening his sibling during an argument over financial matters last week, according to police. Easton Police received a 911 call on Thursday, July 13 by someone who said they were threatened by 58-year-old Richard McLaughlin. During a conversation about financial matters with his mother, the caller said that McLaughlin became increasingly hostile and threatened to kill his sibling, according to police.
