Norwalk Police Identify 26-Year-Old Shot To Death Thursday Night NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Police have identified the man shot and killed on Ely Avenue Thursday night as 26-year-old Johnny Lezeau of Norwalk. Police were dispatched to the area of 236 Ely Ave. at 7:45 p.m. Thursday for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found Lezeau suffering from life-threatening injuries, police said. Spree Of Car Break-Ins Reported In Easton EASTON, Conn. -- Several cars were broken into in a neighborhood in Easton this week and last week, according to police. On Monday, July 17, at 6:10 a.m., a homeowner called to report his car was broken into overnight. The car was left unlocked roadside to his residence on Northwood Drive, police said. Norwalk Mother Scheduled To Be Deported Takes Sanctuary In New Haven Church NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk mother of four who lost her battle to remain in the U.S. and was scheduled to be deported Thursday has taken sanctuary in a church in New Haven, according to the Hour. Nury Chavarria, 43, was scheduled to be sent back to her native Guatemala after a bid to delay her deportation failed. She left Guatemala 24 years ago at the age of 19, seeking asylum. Police Seek Missing Oxford Man OXFORD, Conn. -- Connecticut state police are asking the public's help in locating an Oxford man who has been missing since the beginning of 2016. A Silver Alert was first issued for John "Jack" Fairhurst in January 2016 after he was reported missing by friends and family. Shelton Man Sentenced To 15 Years For Robbing Four Banks SHELTON, Conn. -- A former Shelton man with an extensive history of bank robberies as sentenced to 15 years in prison for robbing four Chase Bank branches in Westport, Milford, Norwalk and Stratford last year.
