Stamford Man Found Not Guilty Of Sexual Assaulting Minor STAMFORD, Conn. — A 44-year-old Stamford man was found not guilty last week of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old in 2014, according to the Stamford Advocate. The Stamford Advocate reported that Aziz El Hattab had been charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child after his daughter's friend reported that he had groped her in July 2016. The girl testified that El Hattab came into a room where she was sleeping with his daughter and son and grabbed her breasts, according to the Stamford Advocate. Car Crash On Redding Road Knocks Out Power In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Some Fairfield residents lost power Sunday night when a car hit a utility pole on Redding Road. The Fairfield Fire Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident with reported injuries on Sunday night. As a result of the accident, there was a localized power outage, fire officials said. The young driver and his passenger did not suffer any serious injuries in the crash, according to fire officials.

Police Release 911 Calls Reporting Plane Crash At Danbury Airport Police have released a pair of 911 calls reporting the plane crash near the Danbury Dog Park Sunday morning that sent three people to the hospital. In two brief calls, which can be heard above, a woman and man report the plane crash near Miry Brook Road that took place at around 10:30 a.m., and request assistance to help the people on board. Two Cars Stolen Out Of Driveways Of Trumbull Homes Overnight TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Two cars were stolen from residential driveways in Trumbull after the owners left the keys inside, police said. Trumbull Police said the stolen cars were reported Wednesday morning by residents who awoke to find their cars were gone. The cars included a 2013 Mercedes E350 from Columbine Drive and a 2016 Jeep Renegade from White Tail Lane. At least one of the cars was left unlocked, police said. Norwalk Man Charged With Selling Crack NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man was arrested Tuesday on charges that he sold crack to witnesses working with police, according to the Hour. Police told the Hour that 36-year-old George Oliver of Norwalk sold crack cocaine to a cooperating witness in two controlled buys in May and June. Narcotics officers conducted surveillance during the buys, and the drugs were turned over as evidence, the Hour reported. Firefighters Knock Down Basement Blaze In Trumbull TRUMBULL, Conn. -- One person was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out in the basement of a home on Green Ridge Road in Trumbull Wednesday morning. The Nichols Fire Department responded to the home at 3 a.m. on a report of smoke in the house. The occupants were awakened by the smoke detectors, and when firefighters arrived they found a fire in the basement. They were able to contain the fire to the basement and quickly extinguished it. Bridgeport Teacher Charged With Having Sex With A Second Student BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A former special education teacher at Central High School in Bridgeport who is facing charges of having sex with a student, has been charged with having sex with a second student, according to the Connecticut Post.
