Rye Country Day Baseball Player Breaks NY High School Pitching Record WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Enzo Stefanoni set record for New York state this spring for the most all-time high school varsity pitching wins with 43 wins in his career at Rye Country Day School in Rye, N.Y. No other pitcher at any public, private, or Catholic high school in New York State history has ever reached the 40-win mark. The previous record was 39 career pitching wins, accumulated from 2000 to 2005, by Josh Horn of Ichabod Crane High School in Valatie, New York, which is twenty miles south of Albany. Norwalk Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Minor After Party NORWALK, Conn. — Police arrested a Norwalk man on Monday and charged him with sexually assaulting a minor after a party in July, according to the Hour. Police received a complaint that 41-year-old Guilmar Gonzalez of Lexington Avenue had sexually assaulted a juvenile at a Norwalk residence on July 23, the Hour reported. The complainants told police that Gonzalez had been at a party, and sexually assaulted the juvenile after saying his goodbyes but before leaving the home, according to the Hour. RI Man Charged With Throwing Brick Through Window Of Trader Joe's In Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- A Rhode Island man was charged with throwing a brick through one of the front windows oft he Trader Joe's on Post Road in Darien last week. At around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, police were dispatched to the Trader Joe's on a report of glass breaking. When officers arrived, they found a small hole in one of the front windows, and a brick just inside. They checked the inside of the store, but found no damage, police said. Stamford Teen Pleads Guilty To Armed Robbery During Pot Deal STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 17-year-old Stamford resident will serve at least five years in prison after pleading guilty to an armed robbery where another teen was shot last November, according to the Stamford Advocate. Savior Dominguez pleaded guilty to armed robbery under a plea deal that will allow him to graduate from high school before he faces sentencing, the Stamford Advocate reported. If he gets arrested before his sentencing, he will face the maximum sentence of 20 years for the armed robbery, according to the Stamford Advocate. Stamford Police Continue Crackdown On Distracted Driving STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Police Department issued dozens of tickets on Monday as it continues to crack down on distracted driving.Between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday, the department utilized a grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation to hire a few extra officers to assist with its distracted driving enforcement. Paving To Impact Traffic On Some Redding Roads Beginning This Week REDDING, Conn. -- Drivers should expect delays and closures on a couple roads in Redding this week due to road work.The town of Redding announced this week that the Highway Department will start reclaiming and paving Sanfordtown Road from Cross Highway to Newtown Pike, and Lonetown Road from Route 107 to Cross Highway. Paving To Impact Traffic On Maple Avenue In Bethel BETHEL, Conn. -- A section of Maple Avenue in Bethel will be closed during the day this week due to road work. The road will be closed to through traffic from the intersection of Maple Avenue Extension and Plumtrees Road to Main Street for surface milling and paving. The closures will be daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The work is scheduled to being Tuesday afternoon and continue through Monday, Aug. 21. Drivers should follow detours and plan a an alternate route to avoid delays, if possible. Residents that live within the project zone will have access during the road closures.

Danbury Firefighters Rescue Lost Family Of Hikers In Tarrywile Park DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Fire Department located and rescued a family of four that got lost in the woods in Tarrywile Park on Monday night. The 911 center received a call from a 15-year-old at 8:43 p.m. Monday, reporting that the family was lost in the woods.
