She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Expect Delays: Roadwork Will Reduce I-87 Stretch In Rockland To One Lane For Months Motorists in the region should get ready for long delays as work begins on a section of I-87 that will reduce the roadway to one lane for months. The New York State Thruway Authority on Friday, Sept. 10 announced that traffic will be reduced to one lane in Rockland County at the northbound Exit 15 ramp to New Jersey (New Jersey-I-287-NJ Route 17 South) beginning Monday, Sept. 13.  The lane reduction is needed for bridge joint repair work on the ramp. Suspect At Large After Person Stabbed Inside Area Deli In 'Unprovoked' Attack, Police Say A person "viciously" stabbed inside a deli in the area has police searching for the suspect.  The attack took place in Orange County around 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9 at the Happy Deli at 321 Liberty St., in the City of Newburgh. According to Newburgh Police, officers arriving on the scene found a 42-year-old City of Newburgh resident had been stabbed multiple times in a vicious, unprovoked attack.  The victim required surgery and is expected to survive. Connecticut Man Found Shot To Death On City Street, Police Say A Connecticut man was found shot to death after police responded to a shot spotter alert. The discovery was made around 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 8, on Newhall Street, in New Haven.  Trequon Lawrence, age 27, was rushed by American Medical Response to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was pronounced dead, said Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police Department. Two Seriously Injured In Northern Westchester Crash Two people were seriously injured during a three-vehicle crash in Northern Westchester. The crash took place around 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9, on the Taconic Parkway in Yorktown in the area of the AMVET’s Bridge in Yorktown. According to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department, when firefighters arrived on the scene they found two people trapped in a vehicle. The incidents took place early in the morning on Thursday, Sept. 9, in New Haven County and included the towns of Guilford, Madison, and Branford.
