She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Man Found Dead At Long Island Motel Police are investigating after a man was found dead inside a Long Island motel room. The discovery was made around 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14 in Massapequa, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, the 40-year-old was found inside a room at the Budget Inn, at 400 Carman Mill Road. He was pronounced dead by a Nassau County Police medic at 1:45 p.m. His identity has not yet been released. An investigation is ongoing. No further details are being reported at this time. CT Man Charged For Crash Killing One, Injuring Another A Connecticut man is facing manslaughter and driving under the influence charges for allegedly killing a dirt bike driver and injuring a moped driver before fleeing the scene on the Long Island Expressway. The crash took place around 3 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, when Litchfield County resident Jorge Serrano, age 30, of Torrington, was driving a Chevrolet Cruze on the LIE when he struck the moped and a dirt bike, according to the New York City Police Department. Woman Injured In Road-Rage Incident, CT State Police Say Connecticut State Police are asking the public for witnesses to a case of road rage in which a woman was injured. The incident took place around 8:45 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14, on Route 8 near Exit 21 in Seymour in New Haven County. According to State Police, a woman driving a 2008 Hyundai Santa FE with a Massachusetts license plate got into the road rage incident with a person driving a gray-colored sedan with a Connecticut license plate with the numbers of "803." Teen Found Shot On Sidewalk Of Street In Fairfield County, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are investigating a shooting that left a teen seriously injured. It happened around 10:20 p.m., Monday, Sept. 13, at 4 Rockridge Circle in Bridgeport. When officers responded they found the 17-year-old on the sidewalk adjacent to Building #11 of the Stone Ridge Co-Op, according to Scott Appleby, director of the Bridgeport Emergency Management. Family Asks Public For Help In Nationwide Search For Missing 22-Year-Old NY Woman The family of a missing a 22-year-old New York woman who went missing while traveling is asking the public for help locating her as a nationwide search is underway. Woman Killed In I-84 Crash Police are seeking witnesses or drivers who have dashcam equipment to contact officers regarding a crash that left a 33-year-old woman dead on I-84. New Poll Reveals What NYers Think Of Hochul's Job Performance So Far Despite just weeks in office, Gov. Kathy Hochul, who succeeded former Gov. Andrew Cuomo when he resigned in scandal, has a positive favorability rating among New Yorkers, according to a brand-new poll. The Siena College poll, released Tuesday, Sept. 14, found Hochul was viewed favorably by 42 percent of voters and unfavorably by 17 percent; with 41 percent still undecided. Man Struck, Killed By Car On Long Island Roadway Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash on Long Island. The accident took place in Nassau County around 10 p.m., Monday, Sept. 13, in East Meadow. According to detectives, a 34-year-old man was driving a 2000 Honda westbound on Hempstead Turnpike in the vicinity of Merrick Avenue and struck a man walking on the roadway. Western Mass Woman Dies Hours After Being Shot, Police Say A woman has died hours after being found shot on street in the region. The unidentified Massachusetts woman was found shot in Hampden County around 2:50 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11 on Vermont Street in Springfield. According to the Springfield Police Department spokesperson Ryan Walsh, the woman was found after officers responded to the area following a ShotSpotter activation.
