Man In Mercedes Impersonating Police, Nabbed After Pursuit In Fairfield County A Westchester County man who was driving a 1998 Mercedes-Benz at a high rate of speed with red and blue flashing lights was arrested for allegedly impersonating police in Fairfield County. David Rozon, age 41, of White Plains, was arrested on Sunday, Sept. 26, after Wilton Police spotted the vehicle traveling northbound on Danbury Road around 6:50 p.m. Wilton officers attempted to stop Rozon who fled at a high rate of speed into the town of Redding at which time the pursuit was terminated, said Lieutenant Gregg Phillipson, of the Wilton Police. Massachusetts State Police Cruiser Struck By Tractor-Trailer A Massachusetts state trooper was seriously injured after being struck by a tractor-trailer while protecting a road construction crew. The incident took place around 11:44 p.m., Tuesday, Sept.. 28 on I-95 southbound near its intersection with the Mass Pike in Weston in Middlesex County. According to Dave Procopio, of the state police, the trooper was inside his cruiser when it was struck. Multiple Shots Fired In Busy Area During Morning Commute In Fairfield County, Police Say Residents of a busy Fairfield County city street were ducking for cover when shots began flying during the morning commute. The shooting took place around 8 a.m., Monday, Sept. 27 near the corner of Richmond Hill Avenue and Mission Street in Stamford. According to Captain Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police, police responded to the area after receiving multiple reports of shots fired in the area. Wanted Man Apprehended After Fleeing In Woods Off Mass Pike The man wanted on a host of charges who fled from Massachusetts State Police into a wooded area was tracked down and arrested. Middlesex County resident Luis Morales, age 29, of Lowell, was apprehended by state police in an apartment on Pawtucket Boulevard in Lowell on Tuesday, Sept. 28. Police Seize Loaded Gun After Single-Car Crash In Region Police in Western Massachusetts report they have arrested an area man and confiscated an illegal handgun following a single-vehicle crash. The incident took place around 1:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28 in Hampden County when Springfield Police were called to assist with a rollover crash in the area of Vadnais and Nottingham Street. Woman Drove With Child Clinging To Vehicle In Northern Westchester, Police Say A Northern Westchester woman has been charged with allegedly endangering the welfare of a child after driving with a teenager clinging to the bike rack of the vehicle, police announced. Reports Of Black Students Receiving Racist Emails Under Investigation At UMass UMass Amherst is reporting an increase in racially motivated anti-Black incidents, according to a statement by the university’s vice-chancellor. ID Released For HS Football Player Killed In Fairfield County Crash A high school football player in Fairfield County has been identified as the teen who was killed during a single-vehicle crash over the weekend. Jordan Martinez, age 17, of Stamford, was killed around 11:30 p.m., Saturday, according to the Office of the State Medical Examiner. CT Man Killed In ATV Crash While Riding With Brother, Friend A Connecticut man died in an ATV accident while riding with his brother and a friend. New Haven County resident Sebastian Constantini, age 47, of Oxford, was killed around 4 p.m., Monday, Sept. 27, in Madrid, Maine, after losing control of his vehicle and crashing.
