IDs Released For Victims Of Double-Fatal Hudson Valley Fire The identities have been released for two people who were killed in a massive Hudson Valley fire. Dutchess County residents Jenny Yang, age 24, and Wangdi Tamang, age 30, bother of Millerton, were killed around 8 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, when they could not escape a house fire on Route 22, said the New York State Police. When Troopers arrived, the house was engulfed in flames and told there were possibly two people still inside, state police said. Mail Stolen From Residential Mailboxes Found In Neighboring Town In Fairfield County Police in one Fairfield County town are warning residents that mail was stolen from numerous mailboxes after finding mail along a roadway. The incident took place on Sunday, Nov. 7, when Wilton Police contacted the New Canaan Police department to report finding mail on the side of a road. According to New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski the mail was from mailboxes located on the following New Canaan roads: Butler Lane Hoyt Farm Road Long Lots Road Shagbark Road Stoneleigh Road Darien experienced similar mail thefts, he added. Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled For Western Mass, State Police Say If you are thinking about drinking and driving in Western Massachusetts, think again as one county is setting up sobriety checkpoints. Colonel Christopher S. Mason, superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police, announced that a “sobriety checkpoint” will be implemented in Hampden County over the upcoming weekend. Mason said the purpose is to further educate the public and strengthen the public’s awareness of the need of detecting and removing drunk motorists from the roadways. Bicyclist Critically Wounded By Hit-Run Driver In CT Crash A bicyclist was critically wounded after being hit by a vehicle in Connecticut. The crash took place around 5:40 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, in New Haven on College Street, between Grove Street and Wall Street. Responding officers located a 79-year-old New Haven man who had been struck while riding his bicycle. Police Investigating Fairfield County TD Bank Robbery Police are asking the public for help locating the person who allegedly robbed a TD Bank in Fairfield County. The robbery took place around noon Sunday, Nov. 7 at the TD Bank of Westport Avenue in Norwalk. According to Sgt. Sofia Gulino of the Norwalk Police, the department received a call the bank had just been robbed and the suspect had fled on foot. Officers on the scene gathered witnesses on the scene learned that the suspect handed a note to a teller advising that he was in possession of a weapon. 92-Year-Old Killed In Three-Car Crash, CT State Police Say A 92-year-old man was killed during a three-car crash in Connecticut over the weekend. The crash took place around 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, in Windham County on Route 44, in Ashford, said the Connecticut State Police. CT Woman Accused Of Repeatedly Punching Another Woman In The Face, Police Say A Connecticut woman who allegedly repeatedly punched another woman in the face at an area restaurant has been charged with assault. Charlotte Snow, age 31, of Milford, in New Haven County, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 4, for the incident which occurred in October at the Stonebridge Restaurant.
