One Killed In Overnight CT House Fire A Connecticut man was found dead after an overnight house fire. The blaze began around 12:20 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, at a home located in New Haven County at 79 Pleasant View Road in Derby, said the Derby Fire Department. Upon arrival, firefighters found the house was up in flames, but were able to knock it down quickly, the department said. Police Units Respond To High School In Fairfield County After Threatening Messages Extra police are on-site at a Fairfield County high school after threatening text messages were shared with administrators. Monroe Police Lt. Stephen Corrone said the department increased its presence early Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Masuk High School as a precaution during an investigation. "School and police staff have worked collaboratively to identify the origins of the messages," Corrone said.
