11-Year-Old Girl Killed In I-84 Crash, CT State Police Say An 11-year-old Connecticut girl has been killed in a two-vehicle crash on I-84. Tolland county resident Jaidyn Bolduc, age 11, was killed around 8:15 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, during a two-vehicle crash on I-84 in the town of Vernon, said the. Connecticut State Police. According to state police, the crash occurred when both vehicles, a Volvo and a Ford Fiesta were traveling eastbound when they collided for an unknown reason, causing disabling damage to both vehicles. Man Critical After Lighting Himself On Fire Near Hudson River, Police Say A man is in critical condition after pouring gasoline all over himself and setting himself on fire at an area park overlooking the Hudson River. The incident took place around 2:20 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, in Dutchess County at Waryas Park in the City of Poughkeepsie, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark, of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department. Long Island Police Officer Critically Injured By Drunk Driver To Be Released From Hospital A Long Island police officer who was critically injured by an alleged drunk driver will be released from the hospital following a month-long stay. Timothy Thrane of the Suffolk County PD was directing traffic at the intersection of William Floyd Parkway and Yaphank Woods Blvd., on Wednesday, Nov. 3 when a drunk driver struck the rear of a parked GMC Yukon causing that vehicle to strike Thrane. Officer On Long Island Indicted For Allegedly Filing False Information In Police Report A Long Island police officer has been indicted by a special grand jury for allegedly making false statements in connection with the arrest of an area man who he claimed resisted arrest. Suffolk County Police Officer Matthew Cameron, age 33, of Commack, was charged Thursday, Dec. 2, with offering a false instrument for filing, said Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy D. Sini. Woman Killed Crossing Busy Hudson Valley Roadway, Police Say A woman was killed after she was struck by a Jeep Wrangler crossing a busy roadway. The incident took place around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1 in Dutchess County in the City of Beacon. Suspect Nabbed In Fatal Shooting In Region Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a Western Massachusetts man. The shooting of the 39-year-old man took place around 11 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1 in Hampshire County in Northampton.
