She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Child Injured After Stray Bullet Enters Home In Area Police in the area are investigating after numerous bullets were fired into a home, injuring a child. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 6 at 32 N. White St., in the City of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Lt. Matt Clark, of the City of Poughkeepsie Police, an 8-year-old boy was struck by debris from one of the bullets, causing a non-life-threatening injury. The incident is under investigation. Fairfield County Man Wanted For Murder, Surrenders To Police A Fairfield County man wanted in connection with the murder of his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend has surrendered to police. Miguel Rojas, age 28, of Bridgeport, surrendered to police to face charges in connection to the Friday, Dec. 3 homicide of Jalen Parilla, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency management for Bridgeport. According to witnesses, Rojas, who has two children with his ex-girlfriend, shot Parilla, age 37, of Stratford.
