Four In Custody After Allegedly Robbing Pizza Delivery Driver In Region Four Western Mass residents, including two juveniles, were arrested after a pizza delivery driver was robbed in the region, according to police. Hampden County residents Mario Santiago, age 24, and Josiah Finlay, age 18, both of Springfield, were arrested around 1 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, in Springfield. Officers were called to assist a pizza delivery driver on Ainsworth Street for a report of an unarmed robbery.  The driver told police that he was assaulted and robbed on Vermont Street while attempting to make a delivery. Duo Nabbed After Shooting In Region Two men were arrested following an alleged assault and shooting in Western Massachusetts. Hampden County residents Mario Santiago, age 31, of Chicopee, and Josiah Finlay, age 27, of Springfield, were arrested around 1:45 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, after police responded to a report of shots fired in Springfield. One Injured In Fairfield County After Crashing Into Construction Ditch One person was injured in Fairfield County after allegedly ignoring traffic cones and their vehicle ended up in a construction ditch, according to authorities. The crash took place around 9:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 13 on Locust Avenue, in New Canaan, said Lt. Jason Ferraro, of the New Canaan Police. The vehicle sustained front-end damage. The driver was transported to Norwalk Emergency Room by NCEMS for evaluation of possible injuries, Ferraro said. The crash is still under investigation. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Long Island Man Killed In Fiery Crash A Long Island man was killed after losing control of his vehicle and hitting a highway overpass, authorities said. The crash happened around 3:15 a.m., Friday, Dec. 10, on the Northern State Parkway, in North Hempstead, said the New York State Police. Gregory Gordon, age 29, of Carle Place struck the Willets Road overpass at which point the vehicle caught fire, according to Trooper Daniel Ahlgrim.  Gordon was taken to Winthrop Hospital and later died from his injuries.   No other vehicles were involved and there were no passengers in the vehicle. Fairfield County Man Found Shot To Death In Car, Police Say Police are investigating after a man from the region was found shot to death on a city street. Fairfield County resident Michael Harrigan, age 42, of Bridgeport, was discovered by police around 4:45 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, after receiving a call for an unresponsive man in a car. According to Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport, police responded to 64 Black Rock Ave., where they found Harrigan dead inside the car from an apparent gunshot wound. Couple Killed In CT Shooting A Connecticut husband and wife were killed in an alleged domestic violence shooting. The incident involving the couple in their late 50s took place in Hartford County around 5:20 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, in the hamlet of Weatogue in the Town of Simsbury.
