12 Nabbed In Connection To Cocaine Trafficking Operation In Region A months-long investigation involving several law enforcement organizations led to the arrest of a dozen people in connection with an alleged cocaine trafficking operation operating throughout Western Massachusetts. Two Items Valued At $10,000 Stolen From Appliance Store In Fairfield County Police are on the hunt for a thief who stole two expensive grills from an appliance store in Fairfield County. The incident took place on Monday, Dec. 20, at Aitoro Appliances at 401 Westport Ave., in Norwalk, said Lt. Joe Dinho, of the Norwalk Police. The grills, worth $5,000 each, were originally located to the rear of the building on top of storage containers but were being assembled to be displayed. 16-Year-Old Nabbed In Connection To Fatal Shooting At Hotel In Fairfield County A 16-year-old has been charged in connection with the alleged murder of a man earlier this year at a hotel in Fairfield County. Shelton Police arrested the New Haven County teen from Ansonia on Wednesday, Dec. 22, in relation to the murder that occurred on June 12 at the Marriott Residence Inn which left 23-year-old Ivan Whyte of Bridgeport dead. Long Island Robbery Suspect Nabbed At Airport Fleeing Country, Police Say Police apprehended a Long Island man wanted for an alleged attempted robbery as he was boarding a plane to leave the country. According to Nassau County detectives, Bernardo Dezil, age 22, of Freeport, entered Clientele, located at 630 Old Country Road in East Garden City, on Tuesday, Dec. 7, and began selecting clothing items. Man Charged After Walking Away From Hit-Run Crash In Region, Police Say A Western Massachusetts man who had been arrested the day before on drug charges was apprehended again by the same police department for an alleged hit-and-run crash the next day. Man Nabbed For Burglary Of Area Gas Station, Police Say A Hudson Valley man has been apprehended for an alleged robbery of an area gas station. Dutchess County resident Frank Booth, age 29, of Hyde Park, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 21 after the Town of Hyde Park Police responded to the Citgo Gas Stop on Albany Post Road in Staatsburg. Stop Of Speeding SUV Results In Gun Arrest In Region Police apprehended a Western Massachusetts man for illegal possession of a handgun during a traffic stop in which he was allegedly traveling over 95 miles per hour. Hampden County resident Carlos Garcia, age 21, of Springfield, was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 11, after state police troopers pulled him over on Route 91 in a Honda SUV traveling more than 95 miles per hour, Massachusetts State Police said. Juvenile Charged After Threat To School In Fairfield County A Fairfield County juvenile has been arrested in connection with an alleged social media threat directed at an area middle school. The Stratford Police Department became aware of a social media threat directed toward students and faculty of the Stratford school system on Monday, Dec. 20. Support Pours In For Family Of Woman Killed In Hudson Valley Crash Support is pouring in for the family of a woman who was killed in a Hudson Valley crash after being sideswiped by a driver who fell asleep. Eileen Habesland, age 44, was killed around 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, in Orange County on Route 17K in the town of Montgomery, police said. Police Investigating Shooting At Long Island Home Police are searching for the person who fired shots into a Long Island home. Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives said the incident took place around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21 on Mastic Boulevard in Mastic. No injuries were reported.
