Three Cars Stolen From Driveways In One Long Island Hamlet Residents in one Long Island hamlet woke up to find three vehicles stolen. Suffolk County police are investigating three cars stolen from driveways in Fort Salonga on Monday, Dec, 20.  The thefts were reported around 7:15 a.m. and included: 2020 BMW was stolen from outside a residence on Hastings Drive. 2019 Acura was stolen from outside a residence on Linwood Lane. 2009 Audi was stolen from outside a residence on Breezy Hill Drive. Long Island Man Facing Charges After Accidentally Shooting Himself, Police Say A Long Island man is facing charges after he accidentally shot himself in the leg. Vincent Coakley, age 60, of Calverton, was arrested while at the hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 21, said the Riverhead Police Department. According to police, the department received a call around 2:15 p.m. from Coakley's wife saying he had shot himself in the leg while handling a firearm. Jaequann Gilbert, age 30, of East Hartford, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 21, by Norwalk Police for an incident that took place in May, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino, of the Norwalk Police.
