Historic Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse Gets New Light SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- The light is back on at the historic Sleepy Hollow lighthouse. On Wednesday, Edge-on-Hudson, along with County Executive Robert Astorino and Sleepy Hollow mayor Ken Wray dedicated the installation of an exacting replica of the original fourth-order Fresnel Lens and rotating light that once operated atop the lighthouse. The lighthouse was constructed in 1883 and decommissioned in 1961. It sits adjacent to the former General Motors plant, which is being redeveloped as mixed use development.
