British Soldier Walking To Raise Awareness Of PTSD Arrives In Peekskill PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- These might have been the toughest 35 miles British Army veteran Neil Davis has had to walk. Davis continued his nationwide walk across America Thursday, walking 35 miles from Danbury to Putnam County, then ending up in Peekskill by nightfall. Davis is hoping to raise awareness about veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. Ossining Resident Shines In HBO Miniseries Set In Yonkers OSSINING, N.Y. -- Looking like a "troublemaker" on a movie set was a positive for Ossining resident Ray Arrucci.  Arrucci, who runs The Cortlandt School of Performing Arts in Croton, with his wife, Carol, was cast as an extra in "Show Me A Hero," a miniseries airing on HBO starting Sunday night that was filmed in Yonkers and is about racial tensions in Yonkers in the 1980s.  On his first day on set in October, Arrucci was one of 100 people in a demonstration. Man Injured After Falling Down Embankment In Pleasantville PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- An 84-year-old man was taken to Westchester Medical Center Monday afternoon after falling down an embankment. The man was going around his deck in the rear of his yard when he fell head first down an embankment a little after noon, according to Lt. Robert Miliambro of the Mount Pleasant Police. The man crawled up six feet and was able to call for help, Miliambro said. He suffered broken fingers and superficial lacerations throughout his body, Miliambro said. Hawthorne Ambulance Corps transferred him to Westchester Medical Center, Miliambro said.
