Metro-North Trains Skipping Ossining Following Hazmat Spill OSSINING, N.Y. -- Metro-North Trains are not stopping at the Ossining train station following a Monday afternoon hazmat spill at an industrial site near the station. Trains are still traveling through Ossining, but are going by at a reduced speed. Customers wishing to go to Ossining should get off at Croton and transfer buses that will take them to Ossining. Ferry service to Haverstraw has been cancelled. Passengers going to Haverstraw should get off at Tarrytown and transfer to buses that will take them over the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Metro-North Hudson Line Service Suspended In Northern Westchester OSSINING, N.Y. -- A hazmat spill near the Ossining train station has caused Metro-North to suspend service between Ossining and Philipse Manor Monday afternoon. According to Meredith Daniels, an MTA spokeswoman, the hazmat spill occurred off of MTA property. She did not know how long service will be suspended. Trains are currently not permitted to stop at Ossining. Ossining customers should use another Hudson Line station for train service. Peekskill Homicide Victim, 22, Identified PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill Police have identified the victim in Sunday's fatal shooting as Stephen Agosto, a 22-year-old Peekskill resident. Agosto was shot and killed Sunday night at 10:20 p.m. on the 1400 block of Park Street.  He was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. Chief Eric Johansen stated that detectives were following several leads in their attempt to identify and apprehend the shooter. Peekskill Police were assisted by officers from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety K9 Division.
