An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Serino Defeats Gipson To Win Second Term In 41st Senate District Sen. Sue Serino (R-Hyde Park) has been elected to a second term as senator in the 41st Senate District. Serino defeated Gispon 68,354 votes to 53,920 votes, according to unofficial returns from the Putnam and Dutchess County Board of Elections. In Putnam County, she won 8,555 votes to 6,927 votes while in Dutchess, she won 59,799 votes to 46,993 votes. Serino was first elected in 2014, defeating Gipson, who was the incumbent.

Croton United Hopes To Increase Majority On Village Board CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Croton United is hoping to strength its control on the village board in Tuesday's municipal election. Dan McNatty and Mark Aarons are running for two seats on the village board looking to unseat Democratic incumbents Brian Pugh and Ann Gallelli. Yorktown Elementary School Predicts Every Presidential Election Since 1968 YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- If the vote from the students at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School is any indication, Hillary Clinton will be our next president. Police Called To Byram Hills After Student Caught Smoking Marijuana ARMONK, N.Y. -- One student was taken away from Byram Hills High School Wednesday after police received a report about two students smoking marijuana. Minnie Mouse, Sushi, Cow Spotted In Rye Brook On Halloween RYE BROOK, N.Y. -- Hastings-on-Hudson resident, Mem Vongvirath, surprised visitors at 800 Westchester Avenue in Rye Brook Monday- or should we say Minnie Mouse?
