BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport resident Herbert F. Dunbar died Friday, Jan. 15. He was 79.
Born in Jamaica, Dunbar was an area resident most of his life. He was a retired jeweler.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Dunbar; children Brian, Mark, Rohan, Michael, Jackie, Maureen, Patricia and Sandra; brothers James and Wesley; sisters Sara, Lena and Myrth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. -- Sister Mirabel Santiago died on Saturday, Jan. 16. She was 53.
Born in Philadelphia, Santiago graduated from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico, in Ponce, and had worked in the business industry as an executive secretary.
In 1990, she dedicated herself to the religious life as a sister with the Oblates to the Blessed Trinity. PARAMUS, N.J. -- Paramus resident Antoinette R. (Rucereto) Faley, formerly of Dumont, died Sunday, Jan. 17. She was 85.
