Death Ruled Homicide Day After Body Found In Maryland Woods: Police The death of a 35-year-old man found in a patch of Maryland woods is being investigated as a homicide. Delondre Levert Sawyer, of Germantown, was found unresponsive in a wooded area near the 11200 block of Game Preserve Road in Gaithersburg on Thursday, February 8 and later pronounced dead, Montgomery County Police said. An autopsy conducted on Sawyer’s body located a gunshot wound and ruled his manner of death a homicide. Desmond Lark, 33, is accused of shooting the victim during a dispute near the 5300 block of Frankford Avenue on Thursday, June 1, 2023. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Lark, of Baltimore, was taken into custody near the 4200 block of Pimlico Road on Thursday, Feb. 8 and charged with attempted first-degree murder.
