Hudson County Man Sexually Assaulted Child Several Times: Prosecutor
A 20-year-old Hudson County man was arrested Tuesday for sexually assaulting a girl he knew multiple times, authorities said.
Noe Ventura-Amaya, of West New York, was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault by contact, third- and fourth-degree sexual assault, aggravated assault, and two counts of child endangerment, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a release on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
Ventura-Amaya is accused of sexually assaulting a girl he knew between the ages of 12 and 14 multiple times during 2021 and 2022, Suarez said.

Support is on the rise for a pregnant widow whose husband died in a tree-fall accident.
Cody Lee Blihar of Somerville died on Thursday, Jan. 26 at the age of 33, his obituary says.
Cody’s wife, Monica, is expecting their first son, Beau, according to a GoFundMe launched for the family’s support.
“Our hope is to alleviate the financial burden that Monica will be facing following Cody's death and the birth of their son,” reads the campaign.

Hoboken Man Threatens Victim With Stapler, Electrical Cord In Closed Business: Police
An arrest has been made following a November incident in which an apparently intoxicated Hoboken man threatened a victim with a stapler and electrical cord in a closed business, authorities said.
The incident occurred on the 90 block of Washington Street around 2:45 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, Hoboken Police said.
Ryan Higgins, 30, entered a closed business, held the victim “against his will while threatening him with objects such as a stapler and electrical cord,” according to police.
