Peaceful Parks: Stamford Police Crack Down On Problems At Cummings, Leone STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford Police issued dozens of tickets during quality of life enforcement details at Cummings Park and Leone Park on Thursday. The department had previously conducted a quality of life enforcement at Cummings Beach and Park on July 30 after receiving numerous complaints of loud music, drinking and unsafe driving.  Most of the complaints came from families with children and seniors, who said that the behavior was deterring them from using the park. Bridgeport Murder Victim, Suspect Had Gotten In Fight Over Money, Cops Say BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A shooting death that took place in Bridgeport in July may have been connected to an altercation between the victim and the suspect that took place in Virginia, according to the Connecticut Post. Richard Evans, 37, of Bridgeport was arrested on Thursday and charged with murder, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit.
