Accidents Close Lanes On Merritt In Greenwich, I-95 In Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- Lanes were closed on I-95 in Darien and Route 15 in Greenwich following accidents on Thursday afternoon. A motor vehicle overturned on Route 15 southbound between exits 28 and 27 in Greenwich. The accident was reported at 1:29 p.m. One lane is open. A two car accident occurred on I-95 north between exits 11 and 12 in Darien at 1:41 p.m. The left lane was closed.

Norwalk Man Charged With Having Sex With Minor NORWALK, Conn. -- A 21-year-old Norwalk man was charged with having sex with a minor, according to police. The Special Victim's Unit began investigating a sexual assault complaint in July, and determined that Nelson Perez-Pineda of Woodward Avenue was a suspect, police said. Investigators found that Perez-Pineda had groomed a minor, whom he then had intercourse with, according to police. An arrest warrant was issued for Perez-Pineda, and he was taken into custody at his home on Wednesday. He was charged with second-degree sexual assault, and risk of injury to a minor. Loaded Guns Found In Abandoned Car In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. -- Police found two loaded guns in the center console of an abandoned car on Custer Street in Stamford, according to the Stamford Advocate. An officer responding to a call about the abandoned car on Tuesday evening was unable to find information about it by calling in the license plate number, according to the Stamford Advocate. He began looking through the car, which was unlocked, for a registration when he found the two guns, the Stamford Advocate reported. Hundreds Of Gallons Of Oil Spill Into Basement Of Wilton Home WILTON, Conn. — Two residential oil tanks malfunctioned and spilled hundreds of gallons of oil into the basement of a Wilton home last week, according to the Hour. About 500 gallons spilled into the basement of the Ridgefield Road home, the Hour reported. It was absorbed into the dirt floor and ended up contaminating at least two drinking water wells, according to the Hour. One Injured After Crash Interrupts CT United Ride In Monroe MONROE, Conn. -- One person was sent to the hospital after a driver in Monroe cut off the CT United Ride motorcycle procession held every year to pay tribute to the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks, according to the Trumbull Times. Police: Bridgeport Man Leads Cops On Chase Through Greenwich In Stolen Car GREENWICH, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was arrested after leading police on a chase when he tried to steal a luxury car from a dealer in Greenwich on Tuesday night, according to Greenwich Time.
