Hot Temps Bring Risk Of Storms, Air Quality Alert To Fairfield County FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County will experience some very hot temperatures on Tuesday along with a marginal risk of a severe thunderstorm, and an air quality alert has been issued for the northern part of the county. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has issued an Air Quality Action Day for northern Fairfield County, in effect from noon to 10 p.m. An Air Quality Action Day means that Ground Level Ozone within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. Westport Woman Charged With Threatening Juvenile With Knives WESTPORT, Conn. -- A 33-year-old Westport woman was charged with threatening to kill a juvenile on Monday, according to police. Officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance between family members on Monday. When they arrived, they found 33-year-old Nancy Michel being detained by a relative, police said. Police said that Michel had threatened to kill and attempted to assault a juvenile in the residence. Bronx Man Charged With Westport Bank Robbery WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Bronx man who was charged last week with a Darien bank robbery committed in June, was arrested again on Monday and charged with a similar bank robbery in Westport that took place in July. Alpha Jalloh, 24, was arrested Monday at Norwalk Superior Court and charged with second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery, and third-degree larceny. Car Crashes Into Building On East Ave. In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A car crashed into a building on East Avenue in Norwalk Monday afternoon. Police responded to the scene of 83 East Ave. on Monday afternoon. Nobody was seriously injured in the accident, but two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police Nab Suspected Cocaine Dealer In Monroe MONROE, Conn. -- A Monroe man was charged with selling cocaine in an investigation that stretched from Monroe to Stamford, according to the Monroe Courier.An investigation was launched by the Stamford Police Department Narcotics Unit into cocaine sales, which led investigators to 56-year-old Michael Pinto of Monroe, according to the Monroe Courier. Driver Extricated From Car After Hitting Tree In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. — A driver who lost control of her car almost drove into a pharmacy in Norwalk after hitting a tree on Sunday, according to the Hour. Fire officials told the Hour that the driver, a woman in her late 50s, lost control of her station wagon on Gardner Street. Brooklyn Man Charged With Norwalk Sexual Assault NORWALK, Conn. — A 27-year-old Brooklyn man was charged with sexually assaulting a woman in Norwalk back in May, according to the Hour. Police arrested Dayvon Williams on a warrant on Wednesday and charged him with second-degree sexual assault, the Hour reported.
