POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – A pair of lovebirds renewed their wedding vows Monday, 75 years after they first swore that they’d forever be true, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.Karl and Elizabeth Gfatter, 94 and 91, respectively, eloped in 1941, according to the Journal, which reported that Karl Gfatter’s father believed the couple were far too young for marriage.
