Easton, Redding & Region 9 School District Holds Session On Budget Proposal
REDDING, Conn. -- The Easton, Redding and Region 9 School District has scheduled a school budget information session for 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 7.The presentation, which will offer information about the newly proposed schools budget, will be attended by Sara Sobel, chairperson of the district's Board of Education, and Tom McMorran, superintendent of schools, among others.
The session will allow the community to inquire about the proposal, which is to be up for a vote on May 3.

Chinese Company Buys Dolce Palisades Conference Center
PALISADES, N.Y. -- A Chinese company best-known for the airline it owns has purchased the Dolce Palisades Conference Center for nearly $60 million, according to lohud.com.
HNA, owner of Hainan Airlines, has purchased the 450,000-square-foot center, which was formerly owned by IBM, according to lohud.com, which cited the final purchase price at $59.6 million.
Also included in the deal are the 106 acres that are home to the conference center at 334 Route 9W, according to lohud.com.
