Area Woman Takes Daughter Against Court Order, Police Say An area woman was charged for allegedly luring her daughter out of her father's home and taking her in violation of a court order. Ulster County resident Deidre Mayr, age 37, of Saugerties, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 18, for the incident which took place two days earlier. According to Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra, Mayr lured an 11-year-old female from the girl’s residence against a court custody order that prevented Mayr from having any contact with the child. Scammers Spoofing Massachusetts State Police Number Massachusetts State Police are warning residents to be careful about scammers spoofing state police phone numbers. On Tuesday, Aug. 24, the department tweeted about the calls, telling residents the calls were fraudulent. Fairfield County Apple Store Burglarized, 13 iPhones Stolen Police in Fairfield County are searching for suspects who allegedly burglarized an Apple Store, making off with 13 items. The burglary took place around 2:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25 at the Greenwich store on Greenwich Avenue. The Greenwich Police Department was alerted to the break-in by an in-store alarm and responding officers found the front door shattered on the sidewalk, said Captain Mark E. Man Nabbed For $83K ATM Robbery In Fairfield County A Fairfield County man has been nabbed for allegedly robbing an ATM service worker of more than $83,000 earlier this year. On Monday, June 7, an ATM service provider employee was the victim of a robbery that occurred at the Sunoco Gas Station, 1025 East Main St., Bridgeport. Suspect Nabbed For Opening Fire Outside CT State Capitol Police arrested a man on charges he fired gunshots into Connecticut's Capitol building in Hartford over Memorial Day weekend. Man Found Dead After Unoccupied Vehicle Discovered On Side Of Hudson Valley Roadway A man was found dead after state police were contacted after a vehicle was found unoccupied on the side of a Hudson Valley roadway. The incident took around 9 p.m., Monday, Aug. 23, in Orange County.
