Suspect At Large After 10-Year-Old, Man Shot On CT Roadway A 10-year-old Connecticut boy was hit during a double-shooting that also injured a man who lives with the child. The shootings took place around 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23, in New Haven County on Congress Avenue in Waterbury. According to Lt. Robert Davis of the Waterbury Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of Congress Avenue on shots fired complaint. Long Island Massage Therapist Indicted For Forcibly Touching Clients A Long Island massage therapist has been charged with forcibly touching clients as well as sexual assault and practicing without a license. Sut-Ho Leung (also known as “Mike”), age 60, of New Hyde Park, was arraigned Friday, Sept. 24, on 14 counts of unauthorized practice of a profession, two counts of forcible touching, and two counts of sexual abuse, Acting Nassau County District Attorney Joyce A. Fairfield County Community Mourns Death Of Popular, Longtime School Board Member The sudden death of a popular leader and member of the Board of Education has stunned one Fairfield County community. Norwalk Public Schools announced on Wednesday, Sept. 22, that longtime school board member Mike Barbis died unexpectedly. "The Norwalk Board of Education and Norwalk Public Schools are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Mike Barbis," the district said. Four Vehicles Stolen In One Day In This Fairfield County Town Four cars were stolen in a Fairfield County town in a single day this week. The vehicles were all reported stolen on Monday, Sept. 20, Greenwich. Gabby Petito Visitation Open To Public A memorial visitation for Gabby Petito, the Long Island native whose missing person search and then homicide captivated the nation, will be open to the public. The visitation for the 22-year-old Petito will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 26, in Suffolk County at Moloney’s Holbrook Funeral Home at 825 Main St. in Holbrook, according to the funeral home. One Seriously Injured, Three Others Hospitalized In Fiery Crash In Region One person was seriously injured and three others hospitalized following a two-vehicle rollover crash in Western Massachusetts that caused an SUV to burst into flames. Hours-Long Standoff Ends In Suicide In Area A tense hours-long standoff ended when an area resident with a rifle killed himself. Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley, Jr. said the incident unfolded around 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 23, when the town of Kent Ambulance along with the EmStar medics were dispatched to Pudding Street in the Town of Putnam Valley for a man with chest pain. Long Island Man Dies From Injuries In House Fire A Long Island man who was critically injured during a house fire earlier this week has died from his injuries. Ivory Dean, age 67, of Copiague, died on Thursday, Sept. 23 from the injuries suffered on Sunday, Sept. 19, Suffolk County Police said. The fire started at the home located at 302 Deauville Blvd., in Copiague around 2:50 p.m., police said. When members of the Copiague Fire Department entered the house they found Dean unconscious. Long Island Man Rescued From Dock After Car Ends Up In Water A man clinging to the edge of a dock and screaming for help after his vehicle ended up in the water was rescued by police on Long Island. The incident took place around 9:15 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23, in Bay Park. Nassau County Police officers received a 911 call for a vehicle submerged in water at the Bay Park boat launch located at 198 1st Avenue. Know Him? Man Wanted For Robbing Branch Of Fairfield County Bank Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly robbed an area bank. The bank robbery took place around 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at the Fairfield County Bank at 121 New Canaan Ave., in Norwalk. According to Sgt. Sofia Gulino of the Norwalk Police, the man, wearing blue latex gloves, a hard hat, sunglasses, and a mask resembling a tiger’s mouth, passed the teller a note demanding cash and that he was armed.
