Teen Admits To Fatal Hudson Valley Shooting A teen has pleaded guilty to the shooting death of a man visiting the Hudson Valley. Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh announced the guilty plea of Collyer Goodman, of Valley Cottage, on Monday, Oct. 18, for the shooting death of a Chicago man visiting Nyack last August. Goodman plead guilty to manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon for the shooting death of Darien Brydie, the District Attorney's Office said. Fairfield County Man Nabbed For Home Invasion, Sex Assault Of Child, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a child and home invasion after an intense manhunt. The incident took place during the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 9, in Norwalk. Juvenile Charged With Manslaughter In Fairfield County Teen's Shooting Death A 16-year-old has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of another teen while a group played with a gun in Fairfield County The incident took place on Monday, Oct. 11, when 16-year-old Nigel Powell sustained a fatal gunshot wound while inside a residence on Valley Avenue in Bridgeport. Large Fight At High School In Area Overwhelms Police, School Officials A large fight inside an area high school overwhelmed police and put the school on a "hold in place" status. The fight broke out around 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Poughkeepsie High School. Body Recovered From River In Region A man's body has been recovered from a river in Western Massachusetts. According to Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police Department, the body was found around 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19, when officers were called to the 500 block of Hancock Street for a report of a body in the Mill River. Members of the Springfield Fire department recovered the body. Walsh said there were no indications of suspicious activity, and the incident is being investigated by the Detective Bureau. Duo Admits To Roles In Burglary Of Area Store Leading To Fatal Crash Two men have pleaded guilty to taking part in a burglary of an area motor-sports store that eventually led to the death of an occupant in their get-away van. Orange County District Attorney David M. Duo From Region Convicted In Large-Scale Heroin, Cocaine Trafficking Conspiracy Two Western Massachusetts men have been convicted by a federal jury for their roles in a large-scale drug trafficking organization supplied by sources in Mexico and spanning at least four states. According to the US Attorney's Office, Isaac Cardona, age 34, and Rafael Cardona Sr., age 61, both of Springfield, were convicted on Monday, Oct. 18, following a nine-day trial of conspiracy to distribute to possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine and one kilogram of heroin. Suspect Nabbed For String Of Seven Commercial Burglaries In Fairfield County A Fairfield County man has been nabbed in connection with a string of seven burglaries of area businesses within the past month. Fabio Martinez-Rodriguez, age 51, of Stamford, was arrested around 3:15 a.m., Monday, Oct. 18, by police following a reported break-in at a variety store in downtown Stamford. New Details Released After Fiery Fatal Head-On Westchester Crash New details have emerged in a fiery Westchester County crash that left one person dead. It happened around 11:45 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 17 in the area of Saw Mill River Road and Fieldcrest Drive in the Elmsford area of Greenburgh.
