Man, 23, Jumps To His Death From Bear Mountain Bridge, State Police Say A Hudson Valley man who jumped to his death from the Bear Moutain Bridge has been identified by New York State Police. Orange County resident, Justin J. Griffith, age 23, of Highland Falls, died around 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 22 after jumping from the bridge near Cortlandt, said Trooper AJ Hicks. His vehicle was found near the bridge, Hicks said. A search on Friday failed to find his body. His body was recovered by the New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team on Saturday, Oct. 23. No signs of foul play have been discovered.

Person Struck By Tractor-Trailer In Fairfield County A pedestrian was hit by a tractor-trailer and seriously injured on I-84 in Fairfield County. Connecticut State Police said the incident took place around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 25 near Exit 11 in Newtown. Responding troopers said the person was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The roadway was closed for several hours, backing up traffic for at least eight miles, before reopening later on Monday morning. The extent of injuries was not immediately provided. Man Seriously Injured During Large Fight At Restaurant In Fairfield County, Police Say A Fairfield County man who allegedly seriously injured another man during a large fight is facing assault charges. Antonio Hernandez-Alvarez, age 27, of Stamford, turned himself in to the Stamford Police Department on an assault charge on Thursday, Oct. 21. According to Capt. Woman Struck, Killed By CT Transit Bus A Connecticut woman was hit and killed by a bus. The crash took place around 6:45 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, in New Haven. New Haven Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian being struck by a CT Transit bus, on Chapel Street, between Orange Street and Church Street.
