CT Woman Dies After Being Struck By Car
A Connecticut woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle on a busy roadway.
Hartford County resident Yvonne Constant, age 55, of New Britain, was killed around 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23, on Willard Ave., in Newington, police said,
Responding EMS attempted lifesaving measures on Constant, who was later died at an area hospital, police said.
The driver of the vehicle, a passenger car, remained on the scene, police said.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Detective Feeney at 860-594-6208.
Missing Person Found Dead In Wooded Area In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County man who had been missing for several days was found dead in a wooded area.
Shin Maeno, age 28, of Stamford, was found around 1 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 23, was found dead in a wooded area of Redding by members of the State Police Search and Rescue Unit, said Captain Diedrich Hohn, of the Stamford Police.
Maeno, who was reported missing on Thursday, Nov 18, was last seen leaving a friend’s apartment, in Stamford, at around noon on Wednesday, Nov. 17, police said.

Covid- 19: Actor Exits TV Drama After Refusing To Get Vaccinated
Another Hollywood star has been written out of a TV drama after refusing to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
The lastest to exit a popular drama is Rockmond Dunbar of "9-1-1," the Fox television series.
The show requires all actors need to be vaccinated to participate, but, as a response, Dunbar applied for a medical and religious exemption, which he was denied, according to Deadline.
On Monday, Nov. 22, his character on the series, Michael Grant, was written off the show with his deciding to move to Haiti with his boyfriend, Deadline reported.

Long Island Man Hit By Box Truck Dies From Injuries
A Long Island man who was struck by a box truck while crossing a busy roadway has died.
Alfred Piretto, age 86, died on Monday, Nov. 22, from the injuries suffered during the crash on Tuesday, Nov. 16 in Franklin Square.
According to detectives, Piertto, of Franklin Square, was struck at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike.
The driver of the box truck, 34, remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
