Man Killed, Woman Injured, During Shooting In Fairfield County, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are investigating a homicide of a man and the shooting of a woman. The shootings were uncovered around 1 a.m., Friday, Dec. 17, when the Stratford Police Department responded to Light Street near Barnum Avenue. The unidentified man and woman were shot by an unknown assailant, According to Capt Frank Eannotti of the Stratford Police Department. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Man Calling Himself 'Lucifer' Arrested For Murder In Fairfield County Store, Police Say A Fairfield County man who called himself Lucifer has been arrested for allegedly killing a man and then robbing him after he was dead. Luis Morales, age 31, of Bridgeport was arrested late Thursday evening, Dec. 16, for the shooting death of 23-year-old Clinton Taylor, at a local store earlier in the night, said the Bridgeport Police. 18-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Region A man from the region died in a single-vehicle rollover crash. Sullivan County resident Robert J. Lands, age 18, of Neversink, was killed around 3:50 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, after rolling his car at 482 Stanton Corners Road in the town of Liberty, said the New York State Police. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, an investigation revealed that a 1995 Dodge-Ram was traveling on Stanton Corners Road and failed to negotiate a curve causing the vehicle to leave the roadway on the north shoulder and overturn.  Lands was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
