Long Island Man Charged With Arson For Storage Unit Fire, Police Say A Long Island man was arrested for allegedly starting a fire inside a storage unit. The fire was discovered around 1:45 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, when a Riverhead Town Police officer on patrol noticed smoke in the area of Mill Road and West Main Street in Riverhead. Hampden County resident Luis Rodriguez, age 32 of Springfield, was arrested around 1:50 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, after Springfield Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation on Fort Pleasant Avenue. Woman Killed In Crash On Busy Hudson Valley Roadway One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Route 17K in the Hudson Valley.
