The 17-year-old Galan is now the author of the new children's book, "Differences Are Blessings."  Seven weeks after she was adopted from Siberia in 2001 at three years old, Galan was diagnosed with Maroteaux-Lamy syndrome, an enzyme deficiency. Police Investigating After Man's Body Is Found In Peekskill Creek PEEKSKILL, N.Y . -- Peekskill Police are investigating after a man's body was found in a creek on Park Street on Tuesday morning. Police received a call at 10:45 a.m. after a passerby saw a body in a creek on the 1300 block of Park Street, according to Lt. John White. Police, along with the medical examiner and a district attorney went to the scene and found a middle-aged Hispanic male, according to White. Harmony Thaler was found in Miami about two weeks after her sister, Melody LaRocca went to her home and could not locate her. According to Sgt. Police Seek Public's Help In Search For Missing Man In Yorktown YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown Police are looking for a missing 34-year-old man with special needs. Steven Lorenz is a white male 5-foot-8, 200-pound who was last seen at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning wearing an orange jacket, black jeans and carrying an green lunch bag. According to police, he went missing from a special needs group home in Yorktown on Route 129. Anyone with information is asked to call Yorktown Police at 914-962-4141.
