An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Country Music Star Tanya Tucker Performing In Westchester TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Country music star Tanya Tucker told the world at 15 years old that they were going to be hearing from her. Her words turned out to be very prophetic. Larchmont Shop Warns Of Con Ed Scam In Which Caller Warns Of Shutting Power LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Larchmont businesses are on high alert after receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be Con Edison and demanding money or they will shut off the power. David Nadelson of Aroma Coffee Roast was one of the businesses that received the call. He said Con Edison came up on the caller ID and said there was an issue with his billing. Nadelson said other Larchmont businesses received similar calls. "They were pretty crafty with time," Nadelson said. Route 22 Closed In North Castle After Tree Falls On Power Lines ARMONK, N.Y. -- North Castle Police announced that Route 22 has been closed between Baldwin Road and Chestnut Ridge Road due to a tree falling on power lines. Police said the road is impassable and Con Edison has been notified and is responding. Police do not know when the road will reopen and offers are on scene to assist with traffic control. Police are asking residents to use alternate routes to avoid the area.

Westchester Teacher Performs At Super Bowl PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- It was a Super Sunday for Peekskill resident Alex Smith. Smith, who lives in Peekskill and teaches music at Soundview Prep in Yorktown, was Lady Gaga's pianist when she sang the Star Spangled Banner at Super Bowl 50 on Sunday. Ossining Resident, Daily Voice Community Advisor Travels To Seattle PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Daily Voice Community Advisor Lisa Bevan recently traveled to Seattle for a week. Bevan, who lives in Ossining and runs Believe Hair Salon in Pleasantville, traveled to the Emerald City to learn education at a colleague's salon. Rhinebeck Restaurant Offering Ramen Nights RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- A restaurant in Rhinebeck is showing that ramen noodles are not just for college kids trying to save money.
