Tarrytown Man Sentenced For Sending High School Student Lewd Photos TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Roshan Samuel, a 34-year-old Tarrytown resident, was sentenced Wednesday to probation after being convicted of sending lewd photos to an Elmsford high school student. Samuel was sentenced to five months shock probation followed by four years probation for his conviction on two counts of Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree, class D felonies. Over two days in October 2014, Samuel engaged in conversations of a sexual nature with a 14-year-old girl, including sending her images of his genitals and indicating he wanted to have sex with her, according…

Pace Students Unveil Elephant Protection Bill To State Legislators PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- A new state bill to ban elephants from performing as entertainment in New York has come from students at Pace University. Senator Terrence Murphy and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin met with students at Pace's Environmental Policy Clinic Monday to discuss the status of a bill Pace students wrote that would ban elephants from performing as entertainment acts. Students Show Off New Apps At Pace University PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- More than 250 high schoolers and college students came to Pace University on Friday for the 2nd annual Westchester Smart Mobile App Development Bowl, which was won by students at Mamaroneck High School. Students were tasked with designing an app to improve the quality of life of people 65 and over in four weeks.
